How are materials for spells obtained in advanced d&d 1st ed.?

Just bought all the AD&D books (players handbook, Dungeon Master guide, Monster MAnual I, and II, and finally Deities and demigods) In the books, nowhere, in any of them, as far as I can see, the listed materials for spells, are no-where to be found, could someone refer me to that page in one of the books, or maybe tell me how the materials listing works?plz?
