What can I do to get my mom to understand that my guinea pig needs a friend?

It's hard to get my mom convinced to, but if there is some way to make you, or you're guinea pig very sad, like try making your guinea pig like its losing fur, then tell your mom that you read about that, and it's because it's lonely! that's the only thing i can think of since you have tried everything else, and I may sound crazy but thats what I would do ;) ( by the way this response can only be used for extreme measures, please don't freak your mom out if you don't have to)
